When your flying days are over, you should take up photography full time, for love and money.

Melanie....I am a flight an international attendant so the airplane is my office. I am out of the country at least once a week. It's fun to bring back visual souvenirs :-) I'm glad you enjoy them.

  18. I love your travel photos...I can visit vicariously through your gorgeous shots! Could you please tell me the name of the restaurant where you took the shots of the white wine & champagne? I am a rep for a foodservice supply company in Canada. We are the exclusive distributors of ARC glassware & dinnerware, which is manufactured in France & these glasses are part of Arc's "Open Up" series. I would love to share your photos with my team, with your permission, of course.

  19. Thanks everyone for the wonderful comments!

Laura...that lab at the restaurant door stole my heart, too. What loyalty. Dogs in Paris are so much a part of the scene.

Camille....The first photo of the white wine was in a cafe/bistro that is connected to a small right bank boutique hotel...very chic and modern. My friends and I ducked in there to avoid a sudden rain....and it was cocktail time! I went back to my photos to see if the name of the hotel was in any of them. Of course, I have wonderful pics of the olive dish and the umbrella stand and the crazy modern chairs, but not the name of the hotel. My friend who is behind the wine glass may remember. I am always emailing and asking if she remembers the name of a boutique or cafe and she often does! I'll let you know if she can remember. We will be back in Paris all next month, so I should be able to come up with it. The Champagne glass is from a wonderful restaurant I go to often. It is "Au Petit Marguery".

It is wonderful gem, but I have to say their website just doesn't do it justice. The pic near the end of my post with the waiter buttoning his top button to start his evening shift, is from there.

Please feel free to share my photos with your colleagues. I LOVE Arc glassware and dinnerware. I have bought it for years. I'll have to start looking at my wine glasses in Paris to check ;-) Bottoms up!

    Cheers....Diane

  20. Diane....thank you for permission to share your gorgeous photos. I know my team will be as thrilled to see our product as I was...so beautifully photographed, I might add!! It's great to know that you're the proud owner of Arc glassware & dinnerware. I assume you've purchased it in France & have brought it back home with you? If there is something you have your eye on, please let me know. I'd be very happy to order it & send it as a gift for letting me borrow your photos! I look forward to hearing if your companion can recall the name of the bistro where you took the pic of the white wine glass! What a small world we live in! Have a wonderful time in Paris, next visit...I look forward to both your stories & photos, as always!

  21. Thanks for these wonderful photos and for me remembrances of Paris! My family lived in France near Paris for 20 years and I lived there 3 years and go back every year or so; my brother has a place near la porte Maillot; I remember the first time my mom took me to La brasserie Lipp and I ordered a coffeee ice-cream it came wrapped in a towel and it was pyramid-shaped. Oh I miss Paris!

  22. Camille...my friend and I decided we'll just have to take a walk by that little place again and come up with the name. You are so kind with your offer, and yes I did buy many in Paris. Several posts show some of my own:
